🕋 Step-by-Step Guide to Performing Umrah (Bengali to English)

🔹 ১. ইহরাম বাঁধা (Ihram – Intention & Preparation)

বাংলা:
ইহরাম বাঁধার আগে গোসল/অজু করে দুই টুকরো সাদা কাপড় পরতে হয় (পুরুষদের জন্য)। নারীরা তাদের স্বাভাবিক ইসলামি পর্দা মেনে পোশাক পরবে।

English:
Before entering the state of Ihram, perform ghusl (ritual bath) or wudu (ablution).

• Men wear two white unstitched sheets (Rida & Izar).

• Women wear any modest Islamic clothing (no specific color or type is required).

✅ নিয়ত / Niyyah:

Arabic:

"اللهم لبيك عمرة"
English Translation:
"O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah."

Then recite the Talbiyah:

Arabic:

“Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la sharika laka labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni‘mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika lak.”

Meaning:

“Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner. To You belongs all praise, all blessings, and all sovereignty. You have no partner.”

🔹 ২. হারামে প্রবেশ (Entering Masjid al-Haram)

বাংলা:
ডান পা দিয়ে মসজিদে হারামে প্রবেশ করুন এবং দোয়া পড়ুন।

English:
Enter Masjid al-Haram with your right foot and recite:

Arabic:

“Allahumma iftah li abwaba rahmatik”
Translation:
“O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.”

🔹 ৩. তাওয়াফ করা (Tawaf – Circling the Kaaba)

বাংলা:
কাবা শরীফের চারপাশে ৭ বার ঘোরার নাম তাওয়াফ। শুরু করবেন হাজরে আসওয়াদ থেকে।

English:
Tawaf means walking around the Kaaba seven times, starting and ending at the Black Stone (Hajr Aswad).

• Raise your hand and say “Bismillah Allahu Akbar” at the start of each round.

• For each circuit, recite du’as, dhikr, or any supplication.

• Men should do Ramal (walk briskly) in the first 3 rounds and keep right shoulder uncovered (Idtiba).

• Complete 7 rounds counterclockwise around the Kaaba.

🔹 ৪. দুই রাকাত নামাজ (2 Rakat Salah behind Maqam Ibrahim)

বাংলা:
তাওয়াফ শেষে মাকামে ইব্রাহিমের পেছনে দুই রাকাত নামাজ আদায় করুন।

English:
After Tawaf, pray 2 rakats of Salah behind Maqam Ibrahim, if possible.

• In the first rakah, it is Sunnah to recite Surah Al-Kafirun,

• In the second, Surah Al-Ikhlas.

🔹 ৫. জমজম পানি পান (Drink Zamzam Water)

বাংলা:
নামাজ শেষে জমজম পানি পান করুন ও দোয়া করুন।

English:
Drink Zamzam water and make du’a, as it is blessed and accepted.

• You may say:

“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and cure from all diseases.”

🔹 ৬. সাফা-মারওয়া সাঈ (Sa’i – Walking between Safa & Marwah)

বাংলা:
সাফা থেকে মারওয়া পর্যন্ত ৭ বার চলাফেরা করতে হয়। এটি হযরত হাজেরা (আ.)-এর স্মৃতি।

English:
Sa’i is walking seven times between Safa and Marwah hills.

• Start at Safa.

• Recite this verse upon starting:

  “Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.” (Qur’an 2:158)

• Go Safa → Marwah = 1,
  Marwah → Safa = 2, until 7 laps are completed, ending at Marwah.

• Men jog between the green lights.

🔹 ৭. চুল কাটা (Halq or Taqsir – Shaving or Shortening the Hair)

বাংলা:
ওমরাহ শেষে পুরুষরা মাথা মুণ্ডাবে (হালক) বা চুল ছোট করবে (কসর)। নারীরা সামান্য চুল কেটে ফেলবে।

English:
After completing Sa’i:

• Men: Either shave the entire head (Halq) or shorten the hair all over (Taqsir).

• Women: Cut a small portion (about 1 inch) from the end of their hair.

At this point, your Umrah is complete, and you can now change out of Ihram. You are no longer bound by its restrictions.
